Workshop 1 - Generations Connect: Considerations for Intergenerational Practice Programs

This workshop will assist participants with gaining a comprehensive understanding of the considerations involved in initiating and sustaining intergenerational practice programs, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to create impactful initiatives that foster meaningful connections across generations.

Workshop 2 - Generations Connect: Bridging generations through story telling
Through this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to actively engage in sharing stories that transcend generational boundaries, fostering deeper understanding and appreciation among participants of all ages. A panel will shed light on benefits, challenges and give advice on where to go from here in our intergenerational journeys.
SPEAKERS
Emer Prof Anneke Fitzgerald
Founder and Chair of AIIP, Specialising in organisational behaviour and health service management, she has significant experience in leading research projects involving both technical and clinical stakeholders, involving complex organisational cultures.
Brigid Wilkinson
Brigid Wilkinson is the CEO at COTA Tasmania, Council on the Ageing, the peak body for older Tasmanians. She is a passionate advocate for reframing the way we think about and respond to ageing and in challenging ageism within our communities. Brigid leads a small team of passionate staff across Tasmania within COTAs advocacy and project areas that support older Tasmanians access the right information, confidence and supports to age well. COTA Tasmania is excited to be stepping into advocating and running intergenerational programs that support connection across the generations.

Cancellation of Workshop Registrations
All workshop cancellations must be made in writing by emailing aagconference@aag.asn.au. Registration fees for workshops will be refunded less a $10 cancellation fee prior to 5pm on Friday 25 October 2024. After this date, we regret that no refunds will be made, however substitute delegates will be accepted. Please note that cancellation fees will apply whether or not payment is received at the time of registration.
